Non standard thickness chinrests
The left hand and right hand chinrests of Guarneri and Kaufmann are made in four thicknesses.
18, 23, 28 & 33mm so that a violin fits the neck properly. The chinrests are supplied in sets, so that the correct chinrest can be selected.

Special peg shavers and reamers
This makes for easier fitting of the pegs into the peg box. The tools can be fitted into a drill press
for mass production or used in the hand. The reamers have an adjustable backstop to allow the same hole size to be repeated consistently and accurately. The helically twisted shank allows a better control of the reamer than the traditional T handles.

Kaufman chinrests in 4 thicknesses

The peg shavers are designed to bo used in the drill press only. They come with knife setting gages. The productivity of the luthier is enhanced considerably.
